Transactional letter

Dear editor:

I am writing to you because I am very upset about the newspaper report that talk about the demonstration of an environmental group. I am one of the demonstrators and in the report there are some mistakes that I want to correct to you.

First of all, we not only were protest against the by-pass because the extinction of snail, we were against of the destruction of woodland, we want to protect it too. When you report said that we were around 200 people is completely wrong, because we were over 2000! And that we were only unemployed youngsters is an insult to us because there were many local residents in the demonstration too.

And finally when you said that we sat in the road and chanted slogans at workers and police, that’s no true we were doing a silent demonstration. I think that your newspaper is wrong in many thing of demonstration.

I would like to meet with you or if you can send a reporter that interview to me, because I want to explain which is our purpose with the demonstration and tell what really happened at the demonstration last weekend, we only are worry about the woodland and animals of Oldbury. I really hope you, like editor correct the mistakes of this report.
